Like the term ‘sanctuary’ we will provide a safe place. Our specialist residential placements provide protection, warmth and consistency for those who use our services.
Our valued service users clearly include the young people and their families.
We build fantastic relationships with organisations working together with us.
We understand the importance and quality of care around the mental health of young people. The professional and personal experience, skills and qualifications of our team operate a shining beacon, brightly reflecting our quality, and focus.
How we Are Unique
Our service is truly unique: operating within the social care sector, while aiming our services at those with clear, or suspected needs under the umbrella of Child Sexual Exploitation. We understand the demand for our specialism, and have a clear strategy for increasing our capacity, without compromising quality, over time.
Finally, just as importantly, we are dedicated to developing our staff team colleagues to their highest potential, to enable the quality of our service to develop and continuously improve. In order to achieve this aim, we truly value the commitment and effectiveness of all employees. We promote a safe ‘Sanctaury’ for our team in providing robust, comprehensive policies, quality support and supervision mechanisms throughout, and create working environments where lifelong learning and job satisfaction are facilitated.
Short Term Accommodation for Vulnerable Youth
Sanctuary Homes provides short term accommodation for up to 12 weeks’ for young people who need housing which can include transition to a new accommodation or deemed as high risk and unable to match at contextual Childrens homes due to the risk and vulnerabilities to other young people.
Our 4-bedroom home is based in East London and easily accessible. In order to ensure that we have availability we have a strict 12 week stay. However, should you seek an extension this will be reviewed on a cases by case basis and incur premium rates to ensure our home is available to young people in need in an emergency.
key vulnerabilities and risk of exploitation
The key vulnerabilities and risk of exploitation, we are seeking to help address are:
Potential gang activity and grooming; sexual exploitation (including Honey trapping for young girls in gangs); being used as drug pushers and convincing young people to do county lines.
We provide a holistic emergency support package that ensures that young people are safe and can achieve their best outcomes. Our accommodation is based across inner and outer London, fully staffed 24 hours per day and is fully furnished and decorated to a high standard which makes young people feel safe and at home.
